Wernher Von Braun

Dr. Wernher von Braun, the German‐born American scientist who was one of the fathers of both the American and Soviet space programs, died yesterday at the age of 65 in a hospital in Alexandria, Va. His death, at the Alexandria Hospital after a long illness, was announced by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which Dr. von Braun served as deputy associate administrator for planning from 1970 until his retirement in 1972.
