Thomas Andrews, the naval architect of the Titanic, died in the sinking of his creation on April 15, 1912. Despite the fact that he was aware of the seriousness of the Titanic's situation that fateful night, he worked tirelessly to reassure and assist passengers. His body was never recovered. His dedication and selflessness have immortalized him in the history of the Titanic.
