Rue McClanahan, an actress best known for her Emmy-winning role as the saucy, man-hungry Southern belle Blanche Devereaux on the hit television show “The Golden Girls,” died Thursday in Manhattan. She was 76. The cause was a brain hemorrhage, said her manager, Barbara Lawrence.
