Death & Legacy
Robert Fratta, a former Missouri City public safety officer who was on death row for the contract killing of his wife, died Wednesday at a hospital in Galveston, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said. He was 61. Fratta was convicted in 1996 for the murder of his wife, Farah Fratta, a crime prosecutors said he orchestrated because he was afraid he'd lose custody of their children in a divorce.
