Death & Legacy
Captain Robert Falcon Scott, the Antarctic explorer, has died in the attempt to be the first to reach the South Pole. The news reached London yesterday in a message from New Zealand. The message states that Captain Scott and four companions perished in a blizzard shortly after they had found that they were forestalled in the race to the Pole by the Norwegian explorer, Roald Amundsen.
