Ferenc Puskás, who has died aged 79, was one of the greatest footballers of all time. He was the inspiration and the driving force behind the magical Hungarian team of the early 1950s, the "Golden Squad", which was arguably the finest the world has ever seen. He was also a key figure in the great Real Madrid side of the late 1950s and early 60s, helping them to win three European Cups.
