Picasso

Pablo Picasso, one of the most influential artists in the history of Western art, died yesterday in Mougins, France. He was 91 years old. Picasso's influence on 20th-century art was enormous; he introduced the concept of form as an abstract, often geometric, element in painting and sculpture, and he was a pioneer in the use of collage in fine art.
