Michael Collins, who piloted the Apollo 11 spacecraft Columbia in lunar orbit while his crewmates, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, made the first manned landing on the moon, died on Wednesday. He was 90. His death, after a battle with cancer, was announced by his family on his official Facebook page.
