Mel Blanc, who used more than 400 separate voices in a career that brought life to such animated characters as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and the sputtering, exasperated Sylvester the Cat, died yesterday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 81 years old.
