Lavrentiy Beria

Lavrenti P. Beria, former head of the Soviet secret police, was executed as a traitor, it was announced tonight. The announcement said that Beria had been found guilty by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the U.S.S.R. of treason against the homeland, espionage, terrorist activities and other counter-revolutionary crimes.
