Indira Gandhi

Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India, was killed yesterday by two of her bodyguards, who shot her with their service revolvers in the garden of her New Delhi home. Mrs. Gandhi, who was 66 years old, was the world's longest serving woman Prime Minister. Her death, like her life, generated shock waves throughout India and the world.
