Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the rock band Queen, whose flamboyant showmanship and powerfully agile vocals, most famously for the hit "Bohemian Rhapsody," made him one of rock's most dynamic frontmen, died on Sunday at his home in Kensington here. He was 45 years old. He said on Saturday that he had AIDS.
