Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross and its president from the inception of the organization until 1904, died at her home at Glen Echo, Md., yesterday afternoon of pneumonia. She was 90 years old. Miss Barton had been ill for about five weeks, but her condition did not become serious until a week ago.
