Bobby Darin, the versatile singer and actor who was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 1963 film, "Captain Newman, M.D.," died yesterday in Los Angeles. He was 37 years old. Mr. Darin, who had been suffering from a heart condition for many years, died after undergoing open heart surgery at the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital.
