"The howling of wolves, the noise of snowstorm, and the deathly silence of the boundless Siberian taiga. I know that the Russian authorities are behind my death, but they cannot break my spirit."

Death & Legacy

Alexander Litvinenko, the former Russian spy who blamed a "barbaric" Kremlin plot for his three-week descent into death, died last night in a London hospital. Litvinenko, 43, succumbed to a lethal dose of a radioactive substance, identified as Polonium 210, which had been ingested with food or drink.
