Ajmal Kasab

Bal Thackeray, the controversial leader of the right-wing Hindu nationalist Shiv Sena party in India, has died aged 86. Mr Thackeray was blamed for inciting tensions with Muslims during the 1993 Mumbai riots in which about 900 people died, but he was never charged. He was also accused of parochialism and of targeting migrants from other Indian states.
